Decorative and Custom Surfaces
This is where a floor stops being a floor. Metallic epoxy, stained concrete and polished concrete, each one moved and finished by hand so no two come out the same.
A metallic epoxy floor is made by suspending reflective pigment in a clear resin and then moving it while it cures. The pattern comes from how the installer works the material, which is why the same colours in two different hands produce two different floors.
There is no sample board that tells you exactly what yours will look like. That is the appeal and it is also the honest caveat. What we can show you is a lot of finished work and a clear conversation about the palette and the amount of movement you want.

How we do it
Metallic epoxy floors
Depth, movement, and reflection. Common in entryways, showrooms, salons, basements, and any room where the floor is meant to be the thing people notice.
Polished concrete
Mechanically ground and densified to a sheen that comes from the slab itself rather than from a coating. Extremely durable and low maintenance.
Stained concrete
Acid and dye staining that colours the concrete rather than covering it, so the character of the slab still reads through.
Advanced resin work
Colour blending, bubble free deep pours, metallic pigment effects, and UV stable topcoats in high gloss or satin. The same techniques behind the river tables, applied to a surface.
The process
- 01
Consultation
We look at the actual slab. Square footage, moisture, cracks, what is already on it, and what you want the room to do. The estimate comes from that, not from a phone call.
- 02
Design
Colour, finish, and the amount of movement you want in the material. For decorative work we get specific here, because this is the part that cannot be changed later.
- 03
Preparation
Diamond grinding, crack repair, joint treatment, and moisture testing. It is the least photogenic day of the job and the one that decides whether the floor lasts.
- 04
Application
Primer, build coats, and topcoat, installed in sequence with the cure times the manufacturer actually specifies rather than the ones that fit a faster schedule.
- 05
Reveal
We walk the finished floor with you, cover care and cure times, and tell you when it can take furniture and vehicles.
Common questions
- Can I pick exactly what the metallic floor will look like?
- You pick the colours, the amount of contrast, and the amount of movement. The exact pattern happens during the pour. Anyone promising an identical match to a photograph is telling you what you want to hear.
- Is a metallic floor slippery?
- The standard finish is smooth. Where slip resistance matters, such as an entry or a bathroom, we add a fine aggregate to the topcoat that gives grip without spoiling the look.
- Can you match a floor to a countertop?
- Yes, and it is one of the better reasons to have one contractor do both. Countertops have their own page.
